My name is Amanda, and I am originally from Santa Barbara, California. I am currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno, where I am pursuing a degree in Accounting. I chose to attend UNR because it provides a great educational environment and strong opportunities for students to grow both academically and professionally.

During the summer when I return home to Santa Barbara, I work as a Junior Lifeguard Instructor on the beach. I have worked as a lifeguard for the City of Santa Barbara for the past five years, where I teach children ages 6–16 skills such as CPR, first aid, lifeguarding techniques, and ocean safety. I also help train them for competitions against other lifeguard agencies along the West Coast, including paddling, swimming, and running events. I am CPR and First Aid certified. Through my work and education, I have developed strong leadership and communication skills, and I take pride in being a hard worker who is dedicated and always open to learning new things.

I am interested in pursuing a career in accounting and hope to continue developing my skills and knowledge in the field. In the future, I would potentially like to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and work in a role where I can help individuals or businesses manage their finances and make informed financial decisions.

My hobbies include working out, spending time outdoors, reading, and enjoying time at the beach and in the ocean. I am also very passionate about animals and love working with them. In my free time, I volunteer at the animal shelter, where I enjoy helping care for the animals and supporting the work the shelter does for the community.
